I am trained in many therapy modalities and together we can decide what works best for you. Above all, I offer person-centred therapy in that I am empathic and will aim to build on your resilience and ability to make choices for yourself.
Some of the therapies I can offer, either standalone or as an integrative approach, include:
- Cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), that will help you make sense of your unhelpful thoughts, feelings and behaviours, and learn to adapt them
- Eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing (EMDR), which allows adaptive processing of traumatic, anxiety-provoking and other difficult experiences
- Behavioural therapy, a practice-based method for noticing change. This is often in conjunction with Motivational Interviewing, allowing you to overcome any ambivalence or ‘stuckness’
- Systemic Therapy, for enabling change in a wider context of relationships, communities and through your values and beliefs
I offer work across a spectrum of difficulties, including but not limited to:
- Expat issues, including work-related stress, culture shock and social isolation
- Misophonia, tinnitus, hyperacusis and other sound sensitivities
- Adult trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
- Child trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
- Sexual Health, including sexual dysfunction issues (such as erectile dysfunction and premature ejaculation), sexual orientation/identity and other concerns
- HIV adjustment, chemsex and risky sexual behaviour
- Support for the LGBT community
- Addiction to alcohol, drugs and smoking, and behavioural change management for weight, exercise and other motivational issues
- Anxiety, phobia, and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD)
